Amer is a small town in Catalonia, Spain. It is located in the province of Girona, within a region called la Selva. Amer is known for its beautiful surroundings and interesting history.
For many years, Amer was connected to other towns by a special narrow-gauge railway. This railway, built in 1895, linked Amer to Girona and later to Olot. It was a very important way for people to travel and transport goods. The railway stopped running in 1969. Now, the old railway path has been turned into a lovely greenway. This is a special path for walking and cycling, perfect for exploring nature.
