In 1989, the Gibian Family sold the company to a new owner, the Pinkerton Group. This group is located in Richmond, Virginia.
Later, in 2002, a part of the American Candy Company that made wax candies was sold. This part went to another company called Concord Confections. Today, that wax candy division is part of Tootsie Roll Industries, which makes many famous candies you might know!
