Amy Elizabeth Duggan (born 11 June 1979) is an Australian former association football player. She is also a well-known media personality. Her maiden name was Taylor.

Amy Duggan's Soccer Journey
Amy Taylor was born in Canberra, Australia. She grew up in a place called Tuggeranong. Amy started playing soccer at Tuggeranong United FC. She played many games for the Canberra Eclipse team. This was in the Australian Women's National Soccer League. She also played professionally for the Hampton Roads Piranhas in the USL W-League.
Playing for the Matildas
Amy was a member of the Australia women's national soccer team. This team is famously known as "The Matildas". She played as a defender in over thirty international matches. A defender is a player whose main job is to stop the other team from scoring goals.
She was first chosen for the Australian national team in 1997. She was only 17 years old at that time. This was just six years after she started playing soccer. In 1997, she joined the 1997 Women's U.S. Cup. She replaced an injured player named Bridgette Starr. Amy scored her first international goal in a game against the United States. The Matildas lost that game 9–1.
World Cup and Olympics
Amy Taylor was a substitute player for the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup. This means she was ready to play if needed, but did not start the games. That same year, she appeared in a special calendar. This calendar featured Matildas players. It was made to help promote women's soccer. It also helped raise money for the national team. However, she was not chosen for the Australian team for the 2000 Summer Olympics.
After a year away from international soccer, Amy returned to the Matildas in 2004. She played in the Olympic qualifying games. She was again an alternate player for the 2004 Olympics tournament.
Retirement from Soccer
Amy was known as a strong defender. She was good at tackling the ball from opponents. However, she had several ankle injuries. She even had two surgeries to fix them. She decided to stop playing international football in 2005. She wanted to focus on a full-time career in media.

Early TV Roles
She joined WIN Television in Australia. She became a presenter on a show called Fishing Australia. Later, she became the sports presenter for WIN News. She became one of WIN's most popular personalities.
In 2008, Amy Duggan helped host a TV show called Football Superstar. This show was about soccer and reality TV. It was on the FOX8 channel. For the second season in 2009, she was replaced by Lee Furlong. This happened after Amy had her first child.
Hosting and Commentating
Amy continued her role on WIN News. She also hosted and commentated for ABC's TV coverage. This included the W-League national women's soccer competition. From 2015 to 2018, she hosted W-League and Matildas matches for Fox Sports. In 2019, she joined Optus Sport. She covered the 2019 Women's World Cup for them.
Radio Work
From August 2016, Amy started hosting a music program. It was a 4-hour show called Chilled Sundays. It aired on Wollongong's i98FM radio station.
Amy Duggan also began presenting on the ABC Illawarra radio station. She started on Friday mornings from 13 October 2023.
