Early Life and Education
Amy Plum was born in Portland, Oregon, and grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. She went to Wheaton College and earned a degree in psychology.
After college, she lived in different cities around the world. She lived in Paris, France, and London, England. In London, she studied medieval art history at the Courtauld Institute of Art. Later, she moved to New York before making France her home.

The ... for Me Series (2011-2013)
Amy Plum's first published book was ... for Me, released in 2011. This book is the first in a series sometimes called the ... for Me series or the Revenants series.
The story introduces special creatures called revenants. These are like reanimated beings. The main character is Kate Mercier, a 16-year-old American girl living in Paris. She is trying to cope after her parents died in a car accident. The book also tells her love story with a revenant named Vincent.
... for Me became an international bestseller. It was chosen for the Summer 2011 Indie Next list. It also received high praise from The Romance Times. The book has been translated into many languages, including German, French, and Spanish.
The next book, Until I ..., came out in 2012. It was also translated into several languages. A shorter story, called a novella, followed. It was titled ... for Her. This novella is sometimes called "... for Me 2.5".
The main story of the series finished in 2013 with If I Should .... This book completed Kate and Vincent's love story. RT Book Reviews gave it a great rating, calling it "another fantastic tale." This book was also translated into many languages.
Later, Amy Plum wrote two more novellas for the series because readers asked for them. These were ... Once More (2015) and To ... For (2021). To ... For takes place five years after the main series. In 2016, a digital guide called Inside the World of ... for Me was released.
The After the End Series (2014-2015)
In 2014, Amy Plum published After the End. This was the first book in a two-book series. The story starts in the wild lands of Alaska. It might be a world after a big disaster.
The main character is Juneau, a 17-year-old girl with special powers. When her whole village is taken, she searches for them. A rich teenager named Miles helps her on her journey. Publishers Weekly gave this book a special positive review.
The second book in the series, Until the Beginning, was published in 2015. It also received good reviews from various book critics. Both After the End and Until the Beginning have been translated into Turkish.
The Dreamfall Series (2017-2018)
Dreamfall was published in 2017. It is the first book in a two-book horror series for young adults. The second book, Neverwake, came out in 2018.
In these books, a science experiment goes wrong. The experiment was meant to help teenagers who couldn't sleep. Instead, seven teens fall into a shared coma. In this coma, they experience each other's nightmares. The scary part is, if someone dies in the dream, they also die in real life.
A company called DiGa Studios has bought the rights to turn these books into a TV show. The series has been translated into Hungarian and Turkish. It has also received positive reviews from many sources, including School Library Journal.
