Amy Plum (born in 1967) is an American and French writer. She is famous for her books for young adults. Her most well-known series is called Die for Me.

Early Life and Education

Amy Plum was born in Portland, Oregon, in the United States. She grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. She studied psychology at Wheaton College in Illinois.

After college, she lived in different cities. She lived in Paris, London, and New York. In London, she earned a master's degree. She studied medieval art history at the Courtauld Institute. Later, she made France her home.

Career

Amy Plum is a successful writer of young adult books. Her stories often mix adventure, mystery, and romance. She has written several popular series.

The Die for Me Series (2011-2013)

Amy Plum's first published book was Die for Me in 2011. This book started her famous series. The series is also known as the Revenants series.

The story is about special beings called revenants. These are like zombie-like creatures who come back to life. The main character is Kate Mercier, a 16-year-old American. She lives in Paris after her parents died. Kate falls in love with Vincent, who is a revenant.

Publishers Weekly said Die for Me was an "immersing, franchise-ready story." It became an International Bestseller. The book was translated into many languages.

The next book, Until I Die, came out in 2012. A short story, Die for Her, followed. The series ended in 2013 with If I Should Die. This book finished Kate and Vincent's love story. RT Book Reviews gave it a great rating. Amy Plum also wrote two more short stories for the series. These are Die Once More (2015) and To Die For (2021).

The After the End Series (2014-2015)

After the End was published in 2014. This was the first book in a two-book series. The story takes place in Alaska. It might be a world after a big disaster.

The main character is Juneau, a 17-year-old girl. She has special powers. Her whole village disappears. Juneau searches for them with Miles, a rich teenager. Publishers Weekly gave the book a top review.

The second book, Until the Beginning, came out in 2015. It also received good reviews. Both books have been translated into Turkish.

The Dreamfall Series (2017-2018)

Dreamfall was published in 2017. It is the first book in a young adult horror series. Its sequel, Neverwake, came out in 2018.

In these books, a science experiment goes wrong. Seven teenagers try a new cure for not being able to sleep. They end up in a shared coma. They are stuck in each other's nightmares. If someone dies in the dream, they also die in real life.

A company called DiGa Studios has bought the rights to make these books into a TV show. The series has been translated into Hungarian and Turkish. It has also received many positive reviews.
