Andreas "Andi" Knoll was born on June 11, 1972, in Innsbruck, Austria. He is a well-known Austrian radio and television presenter. Many people know him as the voice of Austria for the Eurovision Song Contest. He has been the commentator for this big music event since 1999.

Andi Knoll is famous for his role in the Eurovision Song Contest. He has been the official Austrian commentator for almost every contest since 1999. The only year he didn't commentate was in 2009. Before him, Ernst Grissemann held this important job.
Since 2002, Andi Knoll has also hosted the Austrian national finals. These shows help choose the song and artist that will represent Austria at Eurovision. He also commentated for Austria at the Eurovision Dance Contest. This was a similar competition, but for dancing.
After Austria won the 2014 contest, many thought Andi Knoll might host the next one. The 2015 contest was held in Austria. People also considered the winner, Conchita Wurst, and Austrian spokesperson, Kati Bellowitsch. However, the Austrian TV channel ORF chose other hosts. Andi Knoll continued his role as the commentator. Kati Bellowitsch also stayed as the spokesperson. Conchita Wurst helped host the "green room," where contestants wait.
