Andrés Cepeda Cediel (born July 7, 1973) is a very popular singer and songwriter from Colombia. He was born in Bogotá and was the youngest of five children.
Andrés loved music from a young age. He started playing the piano when he was just 5 years old. By the time he was 12, he had already written his first song! He went to Colegio San Carlos and later Colegio Emilio Valenzuela.
His music journey began when he was a teenager. He started a latin rock-pop band called Poligamia with some friends. Andrés was the lead singer.

Music Career
Starting with Poligamia
Andrés Cepeda became well-known as the voice of the band Poligamia. They released several albums, including Una Canción in 1993 and Vueltas y Vueltas in 1995. The band was very popular during the 1990s.
Becoming a Solo Artist
After Poligamia broke up, Andrés decided to continue making music on his own. He became a solo artist. He found great success singing different kinds of romantic music, like bolero and balada. These are styles of music that often tell stories about love and feelings.
His album El Carpintero was incredibly successful. It sold so many copies in Colombia that it earned a special award called "quadruple-platinum." This means it sold four times the number of copies needed to be considered a platinum album!
Some of his other popular albums include Sé Morir (1999), Para Amarte Mejor (2006), and Día Tras Día (2009). He continues to release new music, with his most recent album Décimo Cuarto coming out in 2023.
On Television
Andrés Cepeda is not only a singer but also a TV personality. He became a famous coach on the singing competition show La Voz Colombia. He was a coach for several seasons, helping new singers find their voices and build their careers. He was a coach in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
In 2022, he also took part in Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl, which was a live concert event.

Latin Grammy Awards
