Andrea Nield (born 1951) is an Australian architect. She is known for helping communities rebuild after natural disasters. Andrea Nield started an organization called Emergency Architects Australia. She was also its first president.

Andrea Nield's Education
Andrea Nield studied at the University of Sydney. She earned her first degree in architecture in 1974. She then received her Bachelor of Architecture with Honors in 1977.
How Andrea Nield Helps Communities
Andrea Nield started Emergency Architects Australia (EAA) in 2005. This group helps people after natural disasters. EAA has responded to emergencies in many places. These include Aceh, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, the Solomon Islands, Pakistan, and Australia. EAA works with a similar French group called Architectes de l'urgence Foundation.
Rebuilding Schools in the Solomon Islands
In the Solomon Islands, Andrea Nield helped raise money. She also put together a team to rebuild Ngari School. They worked with the local community. This school was a model for other schools. The Solomon Islands Department of Education plans to build more schools like it.
Helping After Australian Bushfires
Andrea Nield led the EAA team that helped after the Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria, Australia. They planned a temporary village in Kinglake, Victoria. She also started the rebuilding of the Narbethong Community Hall. This hall later won an award.
