Andrew Rynne's Early Life and Education
Andrew Rynne was born on May 18, 1942, in a place called Prosperous in County Kildare, Ireland. His father, Stephen Rynne, was a writer and speaker. His mother, Alice Curtayne, was also a writer and a scholar.
Andrew went to school in Prosperous from 1947 to 1951. He later studied to become a doctor at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland from 1961 to 1968. After he graduated, he moved to Canada for a short time. There, he gained more medical experience at Hamilton Civic Hospital.
Andrew Rynne's Medical Career
Andrew Rynne started his first medical practice in Mitchell, Ontario, Canada. He worked there as a general doctor from 1968 to 1973. In 1970, he was also chosen to be a coroner for Perth County in Ontario. A coroner is a public official who investigates deaths.
In January 1974, Andrew Rynne returned to Ireland. He opened his own medical practice in Clane, County Kildare.
Starting Clane General Hospital
In 1975, Dr. Rynne joined the Irish Family Planning Association (IFPA). This group helps people with family planning. He became the leader of the IFPA in 1985.
In the same year, Dr. Rynne had a big idea. He decided to start Clane General Hospital. He faced some challenges from certain groups, but he still managed to open the hospital.

In March 2021, Dr. Rynne took part in a protest in Dublin. The protest was against rules put in place during a health situation. He later suggested that some people who caused trouble at the protest might have been trying to make the protest look bad.
