How Andy Cunningham Started His Career

Discovering His Talent with Puppets
Andy became very interested in magic. At a magic event in Brighton, he ordered a puppet called "Benji the Adorable Puppy." He later renamed this puppet "China." China the Dog would later become a character in Bodger & Badger.
When China arrived, Andy found he could easily make the puppet dog move and talk. He could even make up conversations on the spot. This was much easier than working with a ventriloquist's doll he owned. Soon, Andy decided to turn his hobby into a full-time job.
