Angela Jansen (born in 1929) is an American artist. She is also known as Angela Bing Jansen. Angela Jansen creates art in many ways. She is a painter, a sculptor, a printmaker, and a photographer. She is most famous for her printmaking.
Angela Jansen went to Brooklyn College in the 1950s. There, she earned a degree in art and design. Around the same time, she also took art classes. These classes were at the Brooklyn Museum Art School.
In the early 1950s, a famous artist named Stanley Hayter invited her to work. She joined a special printmaking studio in New York City called Atelier 17. This was a great opportunity for her art.
Angela Jansen's artwork is very important. It is shown in several famous art museums. These include the Art Institute of Chicago and the Tate Gallery in London. Her art is also at the National Gallery of Art in Washington. You can also find her work at the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
