Angela Spivey (born November 9, 1959) is an American gospel musician and artist. She is a singer and songwriter who creates gospel music. She started her music career in 1995. Her album He Keeps His Promise became very popular and appeared on the Billboard music charts.
Early Life
Angela Spivey was born on November 9, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois. Her father, Harvey Spivey, was a preacher. Angela went to Lucy Flowers High School. After high school, she studied at Debbie's School of Beauty College and earned a license in cosmetology.
Music Career
Angela's music journey began in 1995. Her first album, Victorious Praise, was released by Aleho International Music. She released three more albums with this label: In the Church in 1997, Glory, Honor and Praise! in 2000, and Determined in 2002.
In 2007, she released Angela Spivey Live with the Voices of Victory! through Koch Records. Her most recent album, He Keeps His Promise, came out in 2012. This album was a big success for her. It appeared on the Billboard magazine charts. It reached No. 14 on the Gospel Albums chart and No. 11 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. These charts show which albums are the most popular in different music styles.
