Angela V. Shelton is an American actress and comedian. She is famous for her funny roles on television. You might have seen her in shows like Mr. Show with Bob and David or The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. She was also a contestant on the reality show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!.
Angela is also one half of a comedy team called Frangela. Her partner in comedy is Frances Callier. Besides acting, Angela also lent her voice to the character Calypso in the Spider-Man 2 video game.

Angela's Journey in Comedy and Acting
Starting Her Career
Angela Shelton began her acting journey in 1993. She started at a famous comedy theater called Second City Detroit. This is a place where many well-known comedians learn and perform. It was in Chicago that she met Frances Callier. They soon became great friends and comedy partners, forming the duo known as Frangela.
Frangela: A Comedy Duo
In 2003, Angela and Frances, as Frangela, starred in an animated TV show. It was called Hey Monie! and was shown on Black Entertainment Television and Oxygen. Angela voiced the main character, Monie. The show even won an award called a NAMIC award.
The Frangela duo performs stand-up comedy together. They have also appeared in advertisements for important causes. For example, they supported a campaign called "NO on Prop 8" which was about fairness and equal rights.
Angela and Frances also worked on a British comedy series called 3 Non-Blondes. You might have seen Angela appearing regularly as part of Frangela on VH1's Best Week Ever. In 2008, their popular show An Evening with the Afro-Saxons finished its run. They also host a radio talk show together on KEIB on Saturday afternoons.
On September 10, 2018, Frangela started a new talk show. It is called Me Time with Frangela. This show can be seen on TV stations owned by Raycom Media.
Early Days at Second City Detroit
Angela Shelton was one of the first cast members of the Second City Detroit comedy group. This group first opened its doors on September 15, 1993. Other famous comedians who were also part of this early group include Larry Joe Campbell and Keegan-Michael Key.
