Angela V. Shelton is an American actress and comedian. She is well-known for her work on television shows. These include Mr. Show with Bob and David, Grounded for Life, and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. She also appeared in the Hulu series Quick Draw.

Angela was a contestant on the reality TV show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2009. She is also one half of the comedy duo Frangela. The other half of the duo is Frances Callier. Angela also lent her voice to the character Calypso in the Spider-Man 2 video game.

Angela Shelton's Career

Angela Shelton started her acting journey in 1993. She began at a comedy theater called Second City Detroit. It was there that she met Frances Callier. They later became famous as the comedy duo "Frangela".

Frangela: Comedy Duo

In 2003, the Frangela duo starred in an animated TV show. It was called Hey Monie! and was shown on Black Entertainment Television and Oxygen. The show won an award called a NAMIC award. Angela voiced the main character, Monie, in the series.

The duo performs stand-up comedy shows together. They also appeared in an advertisement for a campaign called "NO on Prop 8". This campaign was about promoting fairness and equal rights. Angela and Frances also worked on a British comedy series. It was called 3 Non-Blondes.

Angela appears regularly as part of "Frangela" on VH1's Best Week Ever. The comedy duo finished their popular show An Evening with the Afro-Saxons in 2008. They also host a radio talk show together. It airs on KEIB on Saturday afternoons.

On September 10, 2018, Frangela started hosting a new talk show. It is called Me Time with Frangela. This show can be seen on television stations owned by Raycom Media.

Early Comedy Work

Angela Shelton was an original cast member of the Second City Detroit comedy group. This group first opened on September 15, 1993. Other well-known cast members from that time included Larry Joe Campbell and Keegan-Michael Key.
