Angell Conwell, born on August 2, 1983, is an American actress. She is famous for playing Leslie Michaelson in the TV show The Young and the Restless. She also played Lisa Stallworth in the sitcom Family Time on Bounce TV. In movies, she was in Baby Boy (2001). She also starred as Veronica in the show Bigger.

Angell Conwell's Early Life
Angell Conwell was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina. When she was two years old, her family moved to Columbia, South Carolina. She went to Seven Oaks Elementary School in Columbia. There, she made history by becoming the first Black American student body president.
Later, she briefly attended Irmo Middle School in Columbia. After that, her family moved to Los Angeles, California. In Los Angeles, Angell went to Valley View and Glendale High School. She was a cheerleader and part of the Student Body Association and Drama Club. She then studied at Glendale Community College in Glendale.
Angell Conwell's Acting Career
In 1994, Angell Conwell moved to Los Angeles. She went there to film a TV pilot called On Our Own. Later, she got a regular role in the CBS sitcom Dave's World.
She has also appeared in many other TV shows. These include Sabrina the Teenage Witch, The Parkers, One on One, and Cuts.
Movies and Early Roles
In 2001, Angell Conwell made her first movie appearance. It was in the drama Baby Boy. She acted alongside Omar Gooding in this film. After that, she was in other movies. These included The Wash (2001) and Soul Plane (2004).
The Young and the Restless
In 2010, Angell Conwell was chosen for a role in The Young and the Restless. This is a popular CBS daytime soap opera. She played the character of Leslie Michaelson, an attorney.
Angell first appeared as Leslie on December 2, 2010. She started as a recurring character. She wanted this role because her "entire family watches the show." She felt a strong connection to the character. She said, "I just really felt it and I think it came off in the audition." She also enjoys working with the cast. She finds them to be "great actors."
In December 2012, after two years, she signed a contract for the role. This made her a regular cast member. However, in August 2014, she went back to being a recurring character. Her last appearance as Leslie was on June 22, 2017. But she returned briefly in April 2019. This was to honor Kristoff St. John and his character.

In 2012, Angell Conwell got a main role in Family Time. This sitcom on Bounce TV also starred Omar Gooding. In 2019, she began starring in Bigger. This is a comedy-drama series on BET+.
On February 5, 2019, Angell received a special honor. The Mayor of Columbia, South Carolina, Steven Benjamin, gave her the Key to the City. This is a big honor from her hometown. The Mayor also named that day Angell Conwell Day.
