Angell Conwell, born on August 2, 1983, is an American actress. She is famous for playing Leslie Michaelson in the TV show The Young and the Restless. She also played Lisa Stallworth in the sitcom Family Time on Bounce TV. In movies, she was in Baby Boy (2001) and played Veronica in the show Bigger.

About Angell Conwell's Early Life and Education

Angell Conwell was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina. When she was two years old, her family moved to Columbia, South Carolina. In Columbia, she attended Seven Oaks Elementary School. She made history there by becoming the first Black American student body president.

Later, she briefly went to Irmo Middle School in Columbia. After that, she moved to Los Angeles, California. In Los Angeles, Angell attended Valley View and then Glendale High School. She was very active in high school, joining the cheerleading team, the Student Body Association, and the Drama Club. After high school, she continued her education at Glendale Community College in Glendale.

Angell Conwell's Acting Career Highlights

Angell Conwell started her acting journey in 1994 when she moved to Los Angeles. Her first big step was filming a TV pilot called On Our Own. After that, she got a regular role in the CBS sitcom Dave's World.

She appeared in many popular TV shows over the years. These include Sabrina the Teenage Witch, The Parkers, One on One, and Cuts.

In 2001, Angell Conwell made her debut in movies with the drama Baby Boy. She starred alongside Omar Gooding in this film. She also appeared in other movies like The Wash (2001) and Soul Plane (2004).

In 2010, Angell Conwell joined the cast of the famous CBS daytime soap opera, The Young and the Restless. She played the character of Leslie Michaelson, a lawyer. She enjoyed working with the cast, calling them "great actors."

For two years, she was a recurring character. Then, in December 2012, she became a contract cast member, meaning she was a regular on the show. However, in August 2014, she returned to a recurring role. Her last appearance as Leslie was on June 22, 2017. She later made a brief guest appearance in April 2019 to honor her co-star Kristoff St. John and his character.
