Anita Jeram has brought many stories to life with her charming drawings and words. She has become a favorite among young readers and their families around the world.
Her Early Life and Artistic Journey
Anita Jeram grew up in Portsmouth, England. From a young age, she really enjoyed drawing. Before she became a professional artist, she worked in different jobs. However, her passion for art led her to study illustration at Manchester Polytechnic. This school is now known as Manchester Metropolitan University.
Creating Wonderful Picture Books
After finishing her studies, Anita Jeram quickly started her career. Her very first book, Bill's Belly Button, was published in 1991 by Walker Books. She also wrote other popular books like Contrary Mary (1995), Bunny, My Honey (1999), and I Love My Little Storybook (2002).
One of her most famous works is illustrating Sam McBratney's book, Guess How Much I Love You. Her sweet drawings helped make this book a huge best-seller in 1994. It was even recognized as an ALA Notable Children's Book in 1996. Anita Jeram has also illustrated books for other well-known authors, including Dick King-Smith and Amy Hest.
Beyond Books: Greeting Cards
Besides her work on picture books, Anita Jeram also creates greeting cards. She publishes these cards through a company called Two Bad Mice Publishers Ltd. Her unique art style makes these cards very special.

Today, Anita Jeram lives with her family in Northern Ireland. She continues to inspire children with her wonderful stories and illustrations.
