Early Life and Education
Anita Jeram grew up in Portsmouth, England. She always loved to draw. Before becoming an illustrator, she worked in different jobs. She then decided to study illustration at Manchester Polytechnic. This school is now called Manchester Metropolitan University.
Becoming a Published Artist
After finishing her studies, Anita Jeram quickly started her career. Her first book was called Bill's Belly Button. It was published in 1991 by Walker Books. She also wrote other books like Contrary Mary (1995) and Bunny, My Honey (1999). Another one of her books is I Love My Little Storybook (2002).
Famous Illustrations
Anita Jeram is especially known for her amazing illustrations. She drew the pictures for Sam McBratney's book, Guess How Much I Love You. This book came out in 1994. It became a huge best-seller. It was also named an ALA Notable Children's Book in 1996. She has also illustrated books for other authors. These include Dick King-Smith and Amy Hest.
Other Creative Works
