Anna Werblińska (born on May 14, 1984) is a famous Polish volleyball player. She was a key member of the Poland women's national volleyball team from 2006 to 2016. Anna also took part in the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008. She won a bronze medal at the 2009 Women’s European Volleyball Championship. Anna is also a four-time Polish Champion, winning titles in 2007, 2010, 2014, and 2015.

Her Early Life and Family

Anna Werblińska was born in Świdnica, Poland. Her original last name was Barańska. On June 19, 2010, she married Sebastian Werbliński. In November 2017, Anna shared that she was going to have her first child. Anna also has a sister named Bogumiła, who was born in 1986. Bogumiła is also a volleyball player, just like Anna!

Playing for Poland

Anna Werblińska had a very successful career playing for the Polish national team. In October 2009, she helped her team win a bronze medal at the 2009 Women’s European Volleyball Championship. They won a tough match against Germany to secure their medal.

Anna also played in the very first European Games. In 2015, her team made it to the final match after beating Serbia. On June 27, 2015, Poland played against Turkey in the final. Even though they didn't win the gold, Anna and her teammates proudly took home the silver medal.

Anna Werblińska has won many awards and championships throughout her volleyball career, both with her clubs and the national team.

  • 2012/2013: She won the CEV Cup with her club team, Bank BPS Muszynianka Fakro Muszyn. This is a big European club competition.
