Education and Early Career
Annalisa Buffa studied computer engineering and earned her master's degree in 1996. In 2000, she received her PhD from the University of Milan. Her PhD work focused on solving math problems in electromagnetism. Her advisor was Franco Brezzi.
After her PhD, she worked at a research institute in Italy called IMATI. This institute is part of the CNR.
