Annapurna facts for kids
Annapurna is an 8091 m (26,545 foot) mountain in the Himalayas, in Nepal. It is the 10th highest mountain in the world. In the native language, the word Annapurna means "full of food" or "goddess of the harvests". The first people to climb Annapurna were Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenal, in 1950.
