Anne-Aymone Giscard d'Estaing (born April 10, 1933) is well-known as the wife of Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, who was a former president of France. She was the First Lady of France during his time in office.

About Anne-Aymone Giscard d'Estaing
Anne-Aymone was born into a noble family in Paris, France. Her father was François Sauvage, Count de Brantes. Her mother was Princess Aymone de Faucigny-Lucinge et Coligny. She grew up in a beautiful home called the Château de Fresne in Touraine.
Her father sadly passed away in a concentration camp in May 1944. Anne-Aymone has other interesting family connections. Her great-uncle was a famous designer and architect named José Emilio Terry y Dorticos. Her great-great-grandfather was a Cuban business leader named Tomás Terry y Adán.
Her great-grandfather was also Henri Schneider. He was the son of Eugène Schneider, who started a big international company called Schneider Group.
Marriage and Family Life
On December 17, 1952, Anne-Aymone married Valéry Giscard d'Estaing. For the first few years of their marriage, they lived in her family home. Later, they moved to a home in Paris.
Anne-Aymone and Valéry had four children together. They had two sons, Henri and Louis. They also had two daughters, Valérie-Anne and Jacinte.
Role as First Lady
When her husband became the President of France, Anne-Aymone became the First Lady. This is an important role, similar to the wife of a president in other countries. During her time as First Lady, she wanted to help children.
In 1977, she created a special organization called the Fondation pour l’Enfance. The main goal of this foundation was to make people more aware of child abuse. It worked to protect children and help those who needed support.
Later Years
After her husband's presidency, Anne-Aymone and Valéry divided their time. They lived between Paris and their home in Authon, Loir-et-Cher. Valéry Giscard d'Estaing passed away in December 2020. He is buried in Authon.
In December 2022, Anne-Aymone decided to sell some of their art and furniture. This sale took place at Hotel Drouot in Paris. She planned to move to a smaller home in Paris.
