Early Life and Career
Anne-Marie Miéville was born in Lausanne, Switzerland, on November 11, 1945. Before she became a filmmaker, she was a photographer. In 1970, she met the famous filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard in Paris. They became partners and later married.
From 1973 to 1994, Anne-Marie worked closely with Godard on many projects. She helped as a photographer, wrote scripts, edited films, and even co-directed some. She also took on the role of artistic director, which means she helped guide the creative vision of their projects.
In 1983, Anne-Marie Miéville made her first short film called How can I love. A year later, she made another short film, The Book of Mary (Le livre de Marie). This film was even included with the DVD release of Godard's movie Hail Mary.

Anne-Marie Miéville is not only a filmmaker but also a writer. In 2002, she wrote a book called Images en parole. This book is a collection of short texts.
