Learning and Early Life
Anne Marie Astin was born in Durham, England. She loved learning and studied at the University of Liverpool. In 1973, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry. She then continued her studies, getting an Honors Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry in 1976.
