Anne Parillaud (born May 6, 1960) is a famous French actress. She has appeared in movies since 1977. Many people around the world know her for her role in the action movie La Femme Nikita.
Early Life and Acting Career
Anne Parillaud was born in Paris, the capital city of France. When she was in school, she trained to be a ballet dancer. However, she discovered a love for acting and started her movie career at the age of 16. Her first film was L'hôtel de la plage (The Beach Hotel) in 1978.
Her big break came in 1990 when she starred in the film La Femme Nikita. The movie was directed by Luc Besson, who was her husband at the time. Her performance as the tough and cool main character, Nikita, made her an international star.
After the success of La Femme Nikita, Parillaud began working in movies outside of France. She starred in the American films Innocent Blood and Frankie Starlight, and the international production Map of the Human Heart.
