Anne Reynolds was an English lady who lived in the 1600s. She was known for being a friend of Anne of Denmark, who was the wife of King James VI and I of Scotland and England.

Early Life and First Marriage

Anne was the daughter of Robert Reynolds, a gentleman from London. In 1600, she married Thomas Havers. He was a merchant, which means he bought and sold goods, and he also collected taxes on imported items.

Anne and Thomas had several children together. She even named two of her daughters, Mary and Sophia, after the Queen's own daughters. Sadly, Sophia passed away in 1621.

Family Connections

One of Anne's sons, Charles Havers, was born in 1606. In November 1626, Charles married Mary Baker. Mary's father, Alexander Baker, was one of the King's surgeons. Alexander Baker was involved in examining people for medical reasons related to legal cases in Lancashire in 1634. Charles Havers and his father-in-law, Alexander Baker, had some disagreements. When Alexander Baker passed away, he left Mary Havers a small musical instrument called a portative organ in his will.

Thomas Havers, Anne's first husband, died in August 1616. He passed away during a time when many people were getting sick from an illness. A letter writer named John Chamberlain mentioned that Thomas Havers had died. He also noted that Anne was well-known because she was a lady who worked for the Queen.

Second Marriage and Later Life

On August 28, 1617, Anne married again. Her second husband was Sir Thomas Burton of Stockerston Hall. They were married at St James in Clerkenwell. Anne and Sir Thomas also had children, including a son named Thomas who later became the 2nd Baronet.

Anne Reynolds passed away in 1634.
