Anne Rogers Clark (born January 6, 1929, in Flushing, New York – died December 20, 2006, in Wilmington, Delaware) was a very famous American dog expert. She was known for breeding and training dogs. She was also one of the few people allowed to judge all 165 different types of dogs recognized by the American Kennel Club.
She was the first woman to win the top prize, "Best in Show," at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show as a professional dog handler. She also tied for second place among all handlers with three "Best in Show" wins there. She judged at Westminster 22 times, which matched a record!

Her Early Life and Dog Journey
Anne Hone Rogers was born in Flushing, New York. She grew up in Mahopac, New York. Her mother, Olga Hone Rogers, was also a successful dog expert. Olga imported, bred, and showed dogs. She ran a special place for dogs called a kennel in Pound Ridge, New York. Anne was quite tall, over 6 feet for most of her life.
After finishing high school, Anne started working with dogs. She created a successful dog department at a store called Abercrombie & Fitch. Later, she opened her own dog grooming service in Manhattan. She won her first "Best in Show" award at Westminster in 1956.
Her Passing
Anne Rogers Clark passed away on December 20, 2006, in Wilmington, Delaware. She was 77 years old.
