Anne of York, Duchess of Exeter facts for kids
Anne of York (born August 10, 1439 – died 1476) was an important member of the House of York in England. She belonged to the English Royal Family. Anne was the second daughter, and the oldest one who survived, of Richard Plantagenet, 3rd Duke of York and Cecily Neville, Duchess of York.

Anne of York was born into a very powerful family in England. Her father, Richard, Duke of York, was a leading figure in the country. Her mother, Cecily Neville, was also from a noble family.
Family Life
Anne had many brothers and sisters. Two of her brothers later became kings of England: Edward IV and Richard III. This made Anne a princess and a very important person in the royal family.
Marriages and Later Life
As a royal princess, Anne's marriages were important for political reasons. She married Henry Holland, 3rd Duke of Exeter. Later, after his death, she married Sir Thomas St Leger. Anne had a daughter named Anne St Leger.
Anne of York lived during a time when England was going through many changes. Her family, the House of York, was involved in important events in English history. She passed away in 1476.
