Annie Antón is a Cuban American. She grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and went to St. Pius X Catholic High School. Even though she has dyslexia (which can make reading and writing harder) and attention deficit disorder (which can make it hard to focus), she worked hard.
She went to the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). There, she earned three degrees in computer science. She got her Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. degrees by 1997. She was also active in student groups.
