Antonio Alcalá Venceslada (born 1883, died 1955) was a famous Spanish writer and scholar. He was especially known for his work on the culture of Andalusia, a region in southern Spain.

Antonio studied in several cities like Málaga, Jaén, Granada, and Sevilla. He worked as an archivist and librarian, which means he managed important historical documents and books. He did this in places like Compostela, Cádiz, Huelva, and Jaén. He also taught at a school called Instituto Virgen del Carmen in Jaén.

Alcalá Venceslada was an expert on the popular traditions and language of Andalusia. His most important book was Vocabulario Andaluz, published in 1934. This book is a dictionary of words and phrases used in Andalusia. It was so good that the Real Academia Española de la Lengua, a very important group that looks after the Spanish language, gave him 10,000 pesetas (an old Spanish currency) for it. The book has been printed many times since then.

He also wrote other books, like De la solera fina (1925) and La flor de la canela (1946). Besides his scholarly work, Antonio Alcalá Venceslada was also a talented poet. A writer named Alfonso de Urquijo even called him "the hunter poet of Spain." To honor him, a street and a college in Jaén are named after him. There is also a small street in Andújar that carries his name.
