Antonio Gamero Aguirre (born March 2, 1934 – died July 26, 2010) was a famous Spanish actor. He was best known for playing supporting roles in many movies. Antonio Gamero appeared in over 200 films during his career.

Antonio Gamero's Life Story
Antonio Gamero Aguirre was born in Madrid, Spain, on March 2, 1934. He studied law and also attended a special school for filmmaking. Before he became an actor, he worked for a phone company called Telefónica.
Early Life and Challenges
Antonio Gamero was a member of the Communist Party of Spain. This party was not allowed to operate openly during the time of the Francoist dictatorship (a period when Spain was ruled by a dictator). Because of his political activities, he faced many difficulties.
In 1957, he was injured by a police agent. This injury affected his hearing for the rest of his life, and he had to use a hearing aid. After this, he spent two years in jail because of his political beliefs.
Becoming an Actor
After leaving jail, Antonio Gamero was not allowed to direct movies. So, he started writing movie scripts using a different name. This led him to become an actor, which he did because he needed to work.
He made his first movie appearance in 1969. The film was called Historia de la vida de Blancanieves.
A Busy Career in Film
Antonio Gamero became a very busy supporting actor. He appeared in more than 200 movies. Some of his well-known films include Habla, mudita, Poachers, and The Enchanted Forest. He also acted in Hostages in the Barrio and Amanece, que no es poco.

Antonio Gamero passed away on July 26, 2010, in Madrid, at the Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón. He was the father of a film producer named Mercedes Gamero.
