Anxhela Peristeri (born March 24, 1986) is a talented singer and songwriter from Albania. She became well-known after winning the Kënga Magjike music competition in 2017. Later, in 2020, she won Festivali i Këngës, which led to her representing Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.

Anxhela Peristeri's Journey
Early Life and First Steps in Music
Anxhela Peristeri was born on March 24, 1986, in Korçë, Albania. From a young age, she loved music. She studied the violin in high school, showing her dedication to the arts. After high school, she continued her studies at the Jordan Misja Lyceum in Tirana, a famous art school.
In 2001, Anxhela took part in the Miss Albania beauty pageant. That same year, she also tried her luck in the Festivali i Këngës music festival with her song "Vetëm ty të kam." After finishing her studies in Tirana, Anxhela and her family moved to Thessaloniki, Greece. While living there, she sometimes faced challenges because of her Albanian background.
Rising to Fame: Music Competitions
Anxhela's career really took off in 2016. She joined the first season of the Albanian TV show Your Face Sounds Familiar, where she won the competition! This show helped her become even more popular.
Later in 2016, she competed in Kënga Magjike with her song "Genjështar" and came in second place. She returned to Kënga Magjike in 2017 and won with her song "E çmëndur." This was a big moment for her!
Her songs continued to be popular. "Shpirti ma di" reached number 73 in Albania, and "Pa mua" reached number 74. "Pa mua" was even named Song of the Year at the 2019 Kult Awards. Anxhela generously donated her prize money to help people affected by the 2019 Albania earthquake.
In 2019, she returned to Kënga Magjike and finished in third place with her song "Dikush i imi."
Eurovision and Beyond
In October 2020, Albania's national broadcaster, RTSH, announced that Anxhela Peristeri would compete in the 59th edition of Festivali i Këngës. She performed her song "Karma". In December 2020, Anxhela won the festival! This meant she would represent Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.
At Eurovision in May 2021, Anxhela performed "Karma" and successfully made it to the grand final. She finished in 21st place, which was a great achievement.
Anxhela released her first collection of songs, called an extended play (EP), titled N'Tiranë on January 29, 2022. The main song from the EP, also called "N'Tiranë," reached number 76 on Albania's Top 100 chart.
