Ao Nang (pronounced 'Ow Nang') is a popular resort town in Thailand. It is one of the ten main areas, called subdistricts or tambon, in Mueang Krabi District, Krabi Province. Many people visit Ao Nang to enjoy its beautiful beaches and explore the nearby islands.
What is Ao Nang Like?
Ao Nang is a busy center in Krabi, Thailand. It is located right on the coast. The town has a main street. This street is filled with restaurants, shops, and other businesses. These places are mostly for tourists.
The main beach is a good spot for sunbathing. However, many people use special boats here. These are called long-tail boats. They take visitors to other amazing beaches. They also go to islands nearby.
Keeping Ao Nang Clean
Ao Nang works to protect its environment. The town has a special plant. This plant helps clean wastewater. Wastewater is water that has been used by people.
The plant can clean about 3,000 cubic meters of water every day. But, according to local leaders, this is not enough. More cleaning is needed to keep the area super clean. This helps protect the beautiful beaches and ocean for everyone.
