The Aon Center is a very tall building, called a skyscraper, located in Chicago, United States. It stands 346 meters (1,136 feet) high and has 83 floors. This impressive building was finished in 1973. It is one of the tallest buildings in the world and holds the spot as the third tallest building in Chicago.
When it was first built, the Aon Center was known as the Standard Oil Building. Later, in 1985, the company changed its name, so the building became the Amoco Building. Finally, the building was sold again and got its current name, the Aon Center, in 1999.
