Carlos "Apdaly" Lopez (born December 2, 1994) is a talented off-road racing driver from Tecate, Baja California, Mexico. Apdaly is famous for winning a gold medal in the Stadium Super Trucks class at the X Games Austin 2014. His father, Juan Carlos Lopez, is also a professional off-road racer, so racing runs in the family!

Apdaly's Racing Journey
Apdaly Lopez started his racing career in the SCORE International championship. His first big race was the 2011 Baja 250. He won the ATV PRO 25 class, which is for all-terrain vehicles. He raced with co-drivers Ivan Mejorado and Gilberto Perez in a Honda TRX450.
Stadium Super Trucks Debut
In 2013, Apdaly joined the new Stadium Super Trucks Super Buggy championship. He won two races at Qualcomm Stadium. He also competed in the main Stadium Super Trucks series. He finished fourth in a race in St. Louis and earned two third-place finishes in Costa Mesa.
Winning Gold at X Games
The year 2014 was a big one for Apdaly. He raced in the San Felipe 250 as a co-driver in the SCORE Trophy Truck class. They finished sixth in their class. He also raced full-time in the Stadium Super Trucks series. Apdaly won his first race of the season at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
A major highlight was the X Games Austin 2014, where Stadium Super Trucks made their first appearance. Apdaly won his heat race and then won the final race! This earned him his first X Games gold medal. He had nine top-three finishes that season, ending up in third place overall in the championship.
Later Stadium Super Trucks Races
Apdaly did not qualify for the X Games Austin 2015 final. He returned to Stadium Super Trucks in 2016 for the Pike’s Peak Hill Climb Challenge. In 2017, he raced in the Race & Rock World Championship. He won the first race but had to stop in the second race after his truck flipped. He also raced in the 2018 season opener, where he shared a victory with Bill Hynes.
