This large park is actually split into two main parts. One part is called the Apex Nature Park, and the other is known as the Seymour Athletic Fields. Both offer different kinds of fun and activities.
Apex Nature Park: Fun for Everyone
The Apex Nature Park is a fantastic place to explore nature and have fun outdoors. It has an outdoor stage called an amphitheater with grassy seats, perfect for shows or just relaxing.
You can also find a fun 18-hole disc golf course here, where you throw frisbee-like discs towards targets. There's a picnic shelter if you want to have a meal outside, and lots of trails for walking, running, or biking. The park also has special spots where you can learn about nature and the environment. Plus, it's home to one of the city's special parks just for dogs!
Seymour Athletic Fields: Get Active!
The Seymour Athletic Fields are all about sports and staying active. This part of the park has courts for basketball, and also tennis and pickleball courts that light up at night.
You'll find big soccer fields that light up too, which are used for many different sports. There are even sand volleyball courts for a beachy game. Just like the nature park, there's a picnic shelter here. And for younger visitors, there's a fun playground designed for kids of all ages.
