Appleton, Ohio facts for kids
Appleton is a small, unincorporated community located in Licking County, in the state of Ohio in the United States. An unincorporated community means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or a village. Instead, it's usually managed by the county.
History
Appleton was first planned and settled in the year 1832. A few years later, in 1836, a post office was opened in Appleton. This post office helped people send and receive mail for many years until it closed down in 1904.
