Arabela is a small, unincorporated community located in Lincoln County, New Mexico, in the United States. It is a rural area, found about 23.2 miles (37.3 km) east of the town of Capitan.
History of Arabela
A post office was opened in Arabela in 1901. It was named by a person called Andy Richardson. He chose the name "Arabela" after a local woman named Arabela Barela. The post office served the community for many years. However, it eventually closed down in 1928.
