About the Museum
The museum, often called Maga, first opened its doors in 1972. This happened with help from the Diputación de Valencia (a local government group). You can find it in an old building called the Sant Marc Hospital. This building is located near the old medieval walls of Gandia. It sits on the left side of the Serpis river.

The museum was closed to visitors for a long time, from 1987 to 2003. During these years, experts worked hard behind the scenes. They researched, documented, and fixed up the museum's collections. This careful work made sure the artifacts were ready for everyone to see again.
