Arenillas de San Pelayo is a small district in the country of Spain. It is part of the larger area called Buenavista de Valdavia. This district is located in the Province of Palencia, which is in the Castile and León region of Spain.
Where is Arenillas de San Pelayo?
Arenillas de San Pelayo is about 80 kilometers (50 miles) north of Palencia, which is the capital city of the province. It sits in a valley called Valdavia, in the north-central part of the province. The town is quite high up, at about 895 meters (2,936 feet) above sea level.
It is located 20 kilometers (12 miles) east of Saldaña, Palencia, which is a regional center. It is also only 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) north of Buenavista de Valdavia, the main town of its municipality.
The area of Arenillas de San Pelayo is in the southern part of the Buenavista municipality. To the south, it shares borders with Villaeles de Valdavia and Villabasta de Valdavia. To the west, it borders Valles de Valdavia, and to the east, it borders Revilla de Collazos. To the north, it is next to Renedo de Valdavia, which is also part of the Buenavista municipality.
Roads and Travel
On the western side of Arenillas de San Pelayo, there is a provincial road called P-237. This road connects the towns of Villasarracino and Buenavista de Valdavia. The road was fully updated and paved in late 2006, making travel easier.
