Arianna Savall i Figueras, born in 1972 in Switzerland, is a talented musician. She is known for her beautiful singing and for playing the harp. She also writes music! Arianna sings in many languages, including Catalan, French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Life and Career

Early Life and Music Studies

Arianna Savall comes from a very musical family. Her father is Jordi Savall, a famous composer and viol player. Her mother, Montserrat Figueras, was also a well-known singer. Arianna's brother, Ferran Savall, is a musician too.

Arianna started her music journey early. In 1993, she began studying singing at the Conservatory of Terrassa. She also learned to play the harp and graduated in 1996. In 2000, she earned her degree in singing. She even studied with Rolf Lislevand at the Toulouse Conservatory in 1992.

Musical Groups and Teaching

In 1996, Arianna went back to Switzerland. She attended a special seminar to learn more about music. She was a member of a musical group called Hespèrion XXI. She also performed with her father's musical groups for many years.

In 2008, Arianna decided to start her own group. She created Hirundo Maris with Petter Udland Johansen, a musician from Norway. Together, they explore and perform different kinds of music. Since 2017, Arianna has also been teaching. She teaches the baroque harp at the Zurich University of the Arts.
