Arilena Ara (born July 17, 1998) is a talented singer and TV presenter from Albania. She became famous in Albania after winning the music show X Factor Albania in 2013. Later, her song "Nëntori" became very popular in Romania and Eastern Europe, even reaching number one on the Romanian music charts. In 2019, she won the music contest Festivali i Këngës, which meant she would represent Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. However, the contest was canceled that year.

Her Life and Music Journey
Early Life and First Steps in Music (1998–2018)
Arilena Ara was born on July 17, 1998, in Shkodër, a city in Albania. As a child, Arilena loved to perform. She took part in many dancing and singing competitions. She even came in third place on a children's talent show called Gjeniu i Vogël.
Her big break came on March 31, 2013, when she won the second season of X Factor Albania. After her win, she released her first song, "Aeroplan", in February 2014.
In November 2016, Arilena joined the music contest Kënga Magjike with her song "Nëntori". She finished in third place. This song became a huge hit outside Albania. It reached number one on radio and TV charts in Romania. It also did well in Bulgaria and Hungary. In 2017, different versions of "Nëntori" were popular in many countries. Arilena also performed at the Europa Plus Festival in Moscow, Russia, and won an award in Kazakhstan.
Pop Art Album and Continued Success (2019–Present)
In 2019, Arilena became a judge on the third season of The Voice Kids Albania. This shows how much her music career had grown.
In December 2019, Arilena won the 58th edition of Festivali i Këngës with her song "Shaj". This win meant she was chosen to represent Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in the Netherlands. Sadly, the contest was canceled in March 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
After spending some time in Los Angeles, Arilena announced in February 2020 that she was working on her first album. In December 2020, she was featured on a song called "A i sheh" with Albanian singer Alban Skënderaj.
Arilena released her first album, Pop Art The Album, on November 6, 2021. Before the album came out, she released four songs from it: "Murderer", "Aligator", "Thirr Policinë", and "Ke me mungu". "Murderer" featured Albanian rapper Noizy. "Aligator" reached number five in Albania. For "Thirr Policinë", she worked with Kosovo-Albanian musician Dafina Zeqiri. Her song "Ke me mungu" became her first number-one hit in Albania in October 2021.
In April 2022, Arilena started a new role as a TV presenter for a show called Piranjat. She also returned to X Factor Albania as a judge for its fifth season. In 2024, she took part in Kënga Magjike with Pirro Çako on their song "ZERO GRADË", but later left the competition.
