Arilena Ara, born on July 17, 1998, is a talented singer from Albania. She became famous in Albania after winning the TV show X Factor Albania in 2013. Later, her song Nëntori became very popular in Romania and other Eastern European countries. It even reached number one on the music charts there.

In 2019, Arilena won the Festivali i Këngës music contest. This meant she was chosen to represent Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. However, the contest was cancelled that year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Early Life and First Steps in Music

Arilena Ara was born in Shkodër, Albania. As a child, she loved to perform. She took part in many dancing and singing competitions. One of these was a children's talent show called Gjeniu i Vogël, where she finished in third place.

Her big break came on March 31, 2013. She won the second season of the popular TV show X Factor Albania. After her win, she released her first song, "Aeroplan," in February 2014.

Rising to Fame with "Nëntori"

In November 2016, Arilena participated in the 18th Kënga Magjike music contest. She sang her song Nëntori and finished in third place. This song became a huge hit outside Albania. It reached number one on the radio and TV charts in Romania. It also did well in Bulgaria and Hungary.

In 2017, different versions of "Nëntori" were released. These remixes also became popular in many countries. Arilena performed at the Europa Plus Festival in Moscow, Russia. She also won an award for "song of the year" at the Astana Dausy Music Awards in Kazakhstan.

In 2019, Arilena Ara became a judge on the third season of The Voice Kids Albania. In December 2019, she won the 58th Festivali i Këngës with her song Shaj. This victory led to her being chosen to represent Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in the Netherlands. Sadly, the contest was cancelled.

After spending some time in Los Angeles, Arilena announced in early 2020 that she was working on her first album. In December 2020, she was featured on Albanian singer Alban Skënderaj's song "A i sheh." This song reached number 29 in Albania.

Debut Album and Television Work

Arilena released her first studio album, Pop Art The Album, on November 6, 2021. Before the album came out, she released four singles from it. These included "Murderer" with Albanian rapper Noizy, "Aligator," "Thirr Policinë" with Kosovo-Albanian musician Dafina Zeqiri, and "Ke me mungu." "Ke me mungu" became her first song to reach number one on the charts in Albania.

In April 2022, Arilena started a new role as a TV presenter. She hosted an investigative show called Piranjat. She also returned to X Factor Albania as a judge for its fifth season. In 2024, Arilena participated in Kënga Magjike again. She sang "ZERO GRADË" with Pirro Çako but later withdrew from the competition.
