Dafina Zeqiri (born April 14, 1989), also known as Dafina, is a singer from Sweden with family roots in Kosovo and Albania.

About Her Life and Music
Dafina Zeqiri was born on April 14, 1989, in Varberg, Sweden. Her family is originally from Kosovo. She has two sisters, Tringa Zeqiri and Besa Tafari. Her father was not part of her early life. Her mother, Melihate Zeqiri, was also a singer in the 1980s.
Dafina started her music journey early. In 2007, she performed at the Polifest Festival. She won the competition with her song "Rrallë e Përmallë." The next year, in 2008, her song "Adios" was nominated for a BOOM Award. She won the audience award for it. In the same year, she released her first album, called Knock Down. She also won the "First Magic" award at the Kënga Magjike festival for her song "Bateritë."
Dafina continued to have success. She worked with other singers like Blero & F-Kay on "La Vida Loca." She also teamed up with Capital T & 2po2 for "Shumë Naltë." In May 2009, she won "Best RNB" at Top Fest 6 for her song "Dua që ta di." Her music videos "Shumë Larg" and "Amazing Girl" were very popular that year. In 2010, she traveled to Australia to film the music video for "Rock This Club." In December 2011, she released "D&G" with Albanian rapper Getoar Selimi. She also released "Tonight," which was part of her album "Just Me." Later, she launched two more music videos, "Veç Ti" and "Bloodah."
Recent Music: King EP and Dafinë moj
In March 2016, Dafina released "Liri." This song won an award for best production at the 2016 Netët e Klipit Shqiptar event in Tirana, Albania. After spending some months in the United States, Dafina released her first extended play, called King, in November 2017. An extended play (EP) is like a mini-album with fewer songs.
The first song from King was "Four Season," released in March 2017. It became very popular, reaching number three in Albania. The music video for this song featured the rapper French Montana. The second song from the EP, "Told Ya," became number one in October 2017. Another song, "Ti e din," came out in December 2017 and reached number two. In 2018, Dafina released four more songs: "Fuego," "Kalon," "Kurgjo nuk kallxojna," and "Alo." The last two reached the top 35 in Albania.
In March 2020, Dafina was featured on a song called "Një herë në jetë" by Albanian producer Cricket. This song reached number 5 in Albania. In June 2020, she announced her second studio album, Dafinë moj. In July 2020, she released "Aman," the first song from Dafinë moj. It was a collaboration with Albanian rappers Ledri Vula and Lumi B. This song reached number 4 in Albania. The second song, "Million $," also did well. Two more songs from the album, "Zili Zili" and "Mos shko" featuring Albanian singer Yll Limani, were released. "Zili Zili" reached the top five, and "Mos shko" peaked at number 4 in Albania. In September 2021, Dafina Zeqiri was nominated for a special music award from the Swedish government.

Dafina Zeqiri is often called a "diva of Albanian music." She has said that American singer Aaliyah is a big influence on her music and style. Other artists who inspire her include Ciara, Destiny's Child, Lauryn Hill, Michael Jackson, TLC, and the Spice Girls. Her music style is usually described as R&B and soul.
