One Ariphron was the father of Xanthippus. Xanthippus was an important leader in Athens. This Ariphron was also the grandfather of Pericles. Pericles became one of the most famous and powerful leaders in Athenian history. This Ariphron was connected to the Alcmaeonid family, which was a very powerful and influential group in Athens.
Another Ariphron was the brother of the famous leader Pericles. We don't know much about him, but his connection to Pericles makes him part of an important family.

There was also an Ariphron from a city called Sicyon. He was a Greek poet. He wrote a special song of praise called a paean about health. This poem was called Hygeia (which means "Health" in Greek).
