Armando Muñoz Calero y López (born February 15, 1908 – died November 8, 1978) was a Spanish doctor and politician. He was a member of the Cortes Españolas, which was like Spain's parliament, during the time of the Francoist dictatorship. He also held important roles in local government in Madrid and was even the president of the Spanish Football Federation.

Biography
Early Life and Medical Career
Armando Muñoz Calero was born on February 15, 1908, in a town called Águilas in Murcia, Spain. He studied hard and became a trained physician, which means he was a doctor. For a while, he worked as a doctor in the city of Lorca.
Service During World War II
Muñoz Calero was a strong supporter of the Falange, a political group in Spain. He joined a special Spanish volunteer unit called the Blue Division. This unit fought alongside Germany against the Soviet Union on the Eastern Front during World War II. In this role, he served as a front-line surgeon, helping injured soldiers in battle.
Political and Public Roles
After the war, Armando Muñoz Calero took on many important public roles. From 1943 to 1946, he led the committee that managed the local government of Madrid, known as the Provincial Deputation. He also led the main organization for doctors in Spain, the Organización Médica Colegial, from 1945 to 1946.
He was a member of the Cortes Españolas for several periods: from 1946 to 1952, again from 1955 to 1958, and finally from 1964 to 1971. Being a member of the Cortes meant he helped make laws and decisions for the country.
Involvement in Spanish Football
Beyond politics and medicine, Muñoz Calero was also very involved in sports. On May 20, 1947, he became the president of the Spanish Football Federation. This is the main organization that runs football (soccer) in Spain. He held this important position until 1950.
Later, in the 1960s, he also served as the vice-president of the famous football club Atlético de Madrid.
