Arne Harris facts for kids
Arnold H. Harris (born May 22, 1934 – died October 6, 2001) was a very important person behind the scenes for the Chicago Cubs baseball team. For 38 years, from 1964 until he passed away, he was the producer and director for the Cubs' television broadcasts on WGN-TV. Even though you never saw him on screen, you could often hear him chatting with the famous announcer Harry Caray.
Harris was born and died in Chicago, Illinois. He started working at WGN in 1956 while he was still a student at Drake University. After he died at age 67 in 2001, the Cubs honored him by placing a special flag on the roof of their home stadium, Wrigley Field.
