Arnold is a small place in Wisconsin, United States. It's not a city or a town with its own government. Instead, it's called an unincorporated community. This means it's part of a larger area, specifically the town of Ruby in Chippewa County.

Discovering Arnold, Wisconsin

Arnold is a quiet community located in the beautiful state of Wisconsin. It sits within Chippewa County, which is known for its natural beauty. Being an unincorporated community means that Arnold doesn't have its own local government like a city or village would. Instead, it's governed by the larger town of Ruby.

The Story Behind the Name

The community we know as Arnold today wasn't always called that. At first, it was known as Still Hawn. This name came from two local businessmen.

However, things changed in 1905 when a post office was opened there. The post office was given the name Arnold. This new name honored Arnold Deuel, who was the son of the person in charge of the post office at the time. The post office served the community for many years until it closed down in 1934. Even though the post office is gone, the name Arnold stuck!
