Aurélien Bayard Chedjou Fongang is a former professional footballer from Cameroon. He was born on June 20, 1985. Aurélien played as a centre back, which is a defensive position in football. He played for several well-known clubs like LOSC Lille and Galatasaray. He also represented his home country, Cameroon, in international matches.

Playing for Football Clubs
Aurélien Chedjou joined the French club Lille in 2007. He played for them for five years. During his time at Lille, he played in over 150 league games. He helped the team win the Ligue 1 title, which is the top football league in France, in 2011. They also won the Coupe de France (French Cup) in the same year.
Chedjou scored his first goal in the UEFA Europa League on October 21, 2010. This goal helped Lille win their match against Levski Sofia by 1-0. His strong performances at Lille made many big European clubs interested in him.
On May 25, 2013, Aurélien Chedjou moved to the Turkish club Galatasaray. He signed a four-year contract with them.
During the 2013–14 season, Chedjou played in every minute of Galatasaray's UEFA Champions League games. He even scored a goal in a match against Chelsea.
