Aura Garrido Sánchez (born on May 29, 1989) is a Spanish actress who stars in movies and TV shows. She is known for her roles in films like Stockholm and the TV series El ministerio del tiempo.

Aura's Early Life
Aura Garrido was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1989. Her dad, Tomás Garrido, is a composer and leads orchestras. Her mom, Pilar Sánchez, is a painter.
Aura started playing the piano when she was just four years old. Soon after, she began practicing ballet. She also learned to speak English because her best friend growing up spoke English.
After finishing high school, she went to a famous drama school in Madrid. She studied acting there for three years. However, she left the school in 2010. This was because she got a role in the movie Plans for Tomorrow. For this role, she won an award called the Silver Biznaga for Best Supporting Actress. She was also nominated for a Goya Award for Best New Actress.
Aura's Acting Journey
In 2010, Aura got her first main role in a TV show called La pecera de Eva. After that, she focused a lot on TV shows. She was part of the casts for Ángel o demonio, Crematorio, and Imperium.
She returned to movies with smaller roles in Promoción fantasma (2012) and El cuerpo (2012). In 2013, she starred in the movie Stockholm. Her acting in this film earned her several awards. These included the Sant Jordi Award and a medal from the Círculo de Escritores Cinematográficos. She was also nominated for Best Actress at the Goya Awards and other important film awards.
In 2014, she appeared in the TV miniseries Hermanos. She also filmed Las aventuras del Capitán Alatriste, which aired in 2015. From 2015 to 2017, Aura played Amelia Folch in the popular Spanish TV series El Ministerio del Tiempo.
