Kids Encyclopedia Facts

The Australian Distilled Spirits Awards (ADSA) is a special yearly competition that started in 2015. It's like a big contest for different kinds of crafted beverages made in Australia.

This competition is organized by the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV), which is a group that promotes agriculture and industry. They work together with the Australian Distillers Association, a group for people who make these special beverages.

The judging for the awards happens at the Melbourne Showgrounds. This is a big place in Melbourne, Australia, where many events are held. The winners are announced at a special dinner in March.

In 2017, the awards added two new trophies. These new awards were for "Champion Aromatic Bitters" and "Champion Micro Lot." This showed how the ways of making these products were changing and becoming more varied.
