Autumn Roxanne Burke (born November 23, 1973) is an American politician. She served as a member of the California State Assembly from December 1, 2014, until January 31, 2022. As a Democrat, she represented the 62nd Assembly District. This district covers parts of the Westside and South Bay areas in Los Angeles County.

Autumn Burke's Career in Public Service
Before she was elected to the Assembly in 2014, Autumn Burke worked as a real estate agent and a business advisor. She is the daughter of Yvonne Brathwaite Burke, who was also a politician. Her mother served in the Assembly, the U.S. Congress, and as a Los Angeles County Supervisor.
Autumn's mother made history as the first member of Congress to give birth while in office. This happened when Autumn was born. They even appeared together on the cover of Ebony magazine in March 1974.
Key Issues and Achievements
During her time in the Assembly, Autumn Burke worked on several important issues. She helped extend California's "Cap and Trade" program. This program helps control pollution and fight climate change. She also worked to make communities stronger against climate impacts, especially in areas that need more help.
She also focused on preventing wildfires and making sure people had strong protections for their health. Autumn Burke also helped California collect more money for the state.
