Axel Konan's Football Journey
Starting in Italy
Even though Axel was born in Ivory Coast, he started his football journey in Italy. He joined the youth team of a club called Lecce. He played his first professional game for Lecce in the year 2000.
Playing for Lecce and Torino
Axel played for Lecce for many years, from 2000 to 2009. During this time, he also spent one season, 2006-2007, playing for Torino on loan. A loan means he played for Torino for a short time, but he was still a Lecce player.
Moving to Switzerland
In June 2009, Axel's contract with Lecce ended. Lecce decided not to offer him a new contract. This meant he did not have a club for a whole season. He even tried out for another team, Atalanta, but it didn't work out.
Then, in November 2010, Axel found a new team. He signed a one-year deal with AC Bellinzona, a club in Switzerland.
