The British Aircraft Corporation One-Eleven, also known as the BAC 111, was a British airliner. An airliner is a large airplane used for carrying many passengers. This aircraft had two turbojet engines, which are powerful jet engines. It could carry about 100 passengers.

Some of these planes were also built in Romania. They were made under a special agreement called a "licence." These Romanian-built planes were called RomBAC 111. The One-Eleven was similar to other planes of its time. These included the French Sud Aviation Caravelle and the US McDonnell Douglas DC-9.

The One-Eleven stopped being used in the 1990s. This was mainly because of new rules about how much noise planes could make. Even so, the BAC One-Eleven was one of the most successful airliners designed in Britain.
