Kenneth Duncan Jr. (born May 15, 1993), who is known by his stage name BRS Kash, is an American rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. He is famous for his 2020 debut song, "... (Go Baby)".
The song became a huge hit, reaching number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100 music chart. It was so popular that it earned a double platinum award from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This award is given when a song sells over two million copies. A new version, or remix, of the song was later released featuring the artists City Girls and DaBaby.
Even though the song first came out in 2019, it became famous a year later when it went viral on the social media app TikTok. This success led to BRS Kash signing with the record labels Love Renaissance (LVRN) and Interscope Records.
Early Life
BRS Kash grew up in Atlanta. As a kid, he enjoyed listening to hip-hop artists from his city, such as Kilo Ali, Raheem the Dream, and the famous group Outkast.
Music Career
BRS Kash released his first song, "... (Go Baby)", on November 22, 2019. In 2020, the song became very popular on TikTok, which helped it become a breakout hit. By August 2020, he had officially signed with the record labels Love Renaissance and Interscope Records. The song did very well on the music charts, reaching the top 10 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
On January 22, 2021, BRS Kash released his first mixtape, called Kash Only. A mixtape is a collection of songs, similar to an album. This mixtape included the popular remix of his hit song featuring DaBaby and City Girls.
Personal Life
In 2020, BRS Kash showed his support for Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, who were running for the United States Senate. He performed at a rally to help encourage people to vote for them.
